This is our 12-day Golden Triangle tour, combined with a visit to Rajasthan. It combines the royal landscapes and cultural marvels of India. This itinerary combines the Senator places of interest of the so-called Golden Triangle: Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, along with the desert state world-famous for its magnificent forts, luxury palaces, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality.
Begin this journey from Delhi, India's vivacious capital, where heritage seems to blend seamlessly into modernity. Interpret the historically rich India with the thirst of curiosity during your visit to the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat. Draw a comparison between their architecture with Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar standing in individualism and collectively representing the diversity which Delhi has imbibed.
Drive down to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal—the alive monument symbolizing eternal love. Witness ethereal beauty of the Taj at sunrise and then move further to witness royal beauty of Agra Fort and the elegant Itmad-ud-Daulah, Baby Taj.
On to Jaipur, the ebullient 'Pink City' of Rajasthan. Gaze at the breathtaking sight of Amber Fort, situated atop a hill and magnificent City Palace, faultless blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture styles. Stroll through cacophonous markets and continue to fabulous Hawa Mahal or the Palace of the Wind, elegantly made with superb lattice work.
Begin this Rajasthan itinerary with a drive to Pushkar, a town settled around a scared lake having the Brahma Temple, which is surely one of the few temples dedicated to Lord Brahma. If you happen to visit during the Pushkar Fair, you will be charmed.
Drive to Udaipur, the City of Lakes. Visit City Palace of Mewar at bank of Pichola Lake, then Jagdish Temple followed by grand boat ride at Pichola Lake. Beautiful Lake Palace.
Drive into the imposing Mehrangarh Fort and later to Jodhpur, the 'Blue City', for an overlooking view and a panoramic bird's view of the entire city. Stop by the beautiful cenotaph at Jaswant Thada, dedicated to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, with leisure walks amidst colorfully vibrant markets of old town Jodhpur.
Finally, the journey snaps out in Jaisalmer, the 'Golden City', where one gets a view of the beautiful Jaisalmer Fort and finely carved –havelis. Take an unforgettable camel safari in the shifting sand dunes of the Thar Desert and watch the magical sunset over the desert landscape.
